Body Sculpture & Weight Loss With Vegan Diet
Going vegan provides not only health benefits, but also a great way to lose weight. Almost every woman has tried some sort of diet in their past, and many even go so far as to starve themselves in order to lose weight, only to realize that they gained all the weight back once they started to eat “normally” again.
High carb vegan lifestyle will allow you to eat as much as you care for, lose weight, and most importantly, keep the weight off. Being a high-carb low-fat vegan means that your diet would mostly consist of fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains and a small amount of daily calories that come from healthy fats, such as nuts and seeds.
You might be thinking now, “wait that is way too much sugar for our body, and sugar will make us fat!” Please do not think the sugar from whole foods like fruit is ever going to make you fat! Every cell in our bodies is running on glucose, which is the sugar mostly found in fresh fruits. Fruits are the easiest foods to digest and a great source of quick energy. The difference between natural sugar found in fruits and processed sugar is the high amount of water, fiber, vitamins and minerals in whole fruits. This means the sugar is entering the blood stream slowly while the food is being digested, resulting in balanced blood sugar levels, which is the key to losing weight. Here are a few ideas on how to improve your health and to sculpt your perfect ballet body:
1. Make it a lifestyle and not a diet
Fruits and vegetables are naturally low in calories, have no sodium or cholesterol, and are therefore the cleanest foods you can possibly eat. Plant-based protein sources like sweet potato or broccoli are much lower in fat than animal proteins.
A high carb vegan diet will make you lean, fit, and healthy because your body is getting enough fuel to function properly which means you won’t have bad food cravings and therefore are able to maintain your weight loss long-term. Just make sure to eat enough to not get hungry and give into cravings.
2. Focus on getting fit and healthy
Don’t focus entirely on your weight. Instead, concentrate on becoming the fittest and healthiest version of yourself. You will be treating your body so well and nourishing it from the inside out with all this fresh goodness that you don’t need to have any doubt whether you will lose weight or not, as you definitely will.
3. Cut out salt
Cutting out salt is a small put powerful change. A high salt intake may cause your body to retain water weight, which is not actual body fat but can make you look bloated and puffy. You will see what a big difference a salt-free diet makes after just a few days of cutting it out.
4. Drink enough water
Drinking enough water will make it so much easier for you to lose weight. Start your day with 1 liter of water and add the juice of one or two fresh lemons. Your digestive system will get an extra kick and your body will be ready to eliminate toxins.
5. Exercise
Since you will be full of energy due to all the good carbs you’ve hopefully been eating, working out won’t be a problem for you.
Exercise and ballet will make you healthy, strong and lean. You should workout because you enjoy it and have fun with, not just because you have to do it. Don’t beat yourself up for taking a day off. Eating a high carb vegan lifestyle will already do 80% of the job, and if you can’t make it to one of our Ballet Body Sculpture classes, try a few exercises at home using our online library!
6. Get enough sleep
Sleep is the best anti-aging treatment around and also helps your body burn fat! Our body repairs itself while we sleep, and gets rid of all kind of toxins that we inhale during the day. Give your body enough time to rest so it can function properly. Try to have a 2-3 hour time gap between dinner and bedtime, as you don’t want your body to be busy digesting food at night.
I hope you find these tips helpful and suggest you try it for at least one month to start seeing results. Give your body time to trust you on this lifestyle. Of course, we all have different body types, and what works for one person might not be the solution for another. Nevertheless, I think that fruits and vegetables are the healthiest foods we can find, and that they provide us with all the vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats we could ever need.
Looking forward to seeing you at our classes & workshop!
